Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of child eyewitness memories and utilizing child victims to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also received numerous national and international prizes. She has provided consulting on research and policy to many agencies and departments from all over the world. She is an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional organizations, such as The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). She is the founder of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division of the American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
